What a Whirlwind of a Week!

Every Six weeks just before transfers, the mission has us do Flat and Car inspections for each  missionary companionship. We are delighted to have such obedient Missionaries who value cleanliness and are wonderful to work with.

Transfers are always an exciting time for the missionaries as they never know until calls are made if they will be staying on the island or moving to another island. There are eight islands on the mission. Each of them is a country of their own. Some them are French Islands , English, or St. Maarten is half Dutch and Half French.  Having New Companions to work with is also a treat.

This transfer Elder Verhaaren and Sister Martin will be moving to Barbados.

Sister Nicole made a Special Missionary Breakfast for all of us!

Elder and Sister Vermeeren had an adventure too this week. As an Immigration permit stamp was necessary to remain on the island, our Lawyer had us leave to Anguilla to await a special needed stamp and paperwork to be processed. I guess you could say we got a short "Transfer". After a series of miracles we are now legally waiting on St Maarten for our final Senior residency Permit to be processed. Our Chauffeurs drove us o the Dutch side Ferry Port.

Thankyou Elder Doyle and Elder Lacey

What an experience to visit Anguilla. It is a British Island. In just one day we were in a Dutch, French, and British Country! It was very Beautiful! It had a very slow paced atmosphere with Wonderful kind people. We were surprised at the number of Goats and goat crossings.  We met a fisherman whose picture is below. Mark caught a rare fish called a Snook. The Snook is a male for the first part of its life , then becomes female.

A series of Miracles helped our lawyer obtain our needed stamp and paperwork. We were able to return to St. Maarten in just four days!

It was great to meet our new St. Maarten Missionaries. These are the new companionships in the St. Maarten District now:

Elder Lacey and Elder Doyle

Sister Cruz and Sister Fernandez

Elder Durfey and Elder Hansen

They are all Amazing Missionaries and a Great support to us.

Thankyou Sister Bell for helping us sort through many names as we found addresses, phones numbers, and information as we update our Branch Records. You are the Best!

Thankyou to Enzo, Elizabeth, Cornelia and Elder Doyle for supporting English connect.

                                         See You next Week!
