Happy Birthday to Austin May 6th 

 and Jana May 15th!

In St. Maarten it is now Carnival. The Festivities began at 4:00 Thursday morning with a pilgrimage to the Cultural centre in Phillipsburg at 4;00 AM . This commemorates the slaves leaving their plantations to freedom many years ago. 

The Sisters in the Branch celebrated with a party.

People dressed up in the streets . A Few parades happened ... lots of noise and traffic. 

There were lots of visitors on Sunday the branch Picture was taken as it was Brother Barney last Sunday here as well as Elder Doyle's.

Elder Doyle has been transferred to another Island. A Farewell on the Beach was held for him and Brother Barney ,who has completed his medical training and will be leaving to the States for his internship The District was happy to have a few last pictures together. 

The Sisters Show off their Sandal Tan lines during  a Visit with the Relief Society President, Sister Joseph.

Elder Lacey has a new Companion, Elder Hunter. Elder Hunter is an identical twin. His brother is also serving a mission right now. 

Sister Abuchon and Sister Cruz  are enjoying  early morning at the track.

We appreciated their help as we have been preparing for Zone Conference tomorrow. 

The English Elders, Elder Durfey and Hansen, live next door. We are grateful for their computer skills. They have an Awesome surfboard that Elders who have lived there sign.

We are looking forward to President Bickmore, his wife , and the Assistants who will be arriving for Zone conference in the morning.
