Hello Family and Friends,
We hope Father's Day was Special for all the Wonderful and kind Father's out there!
It has been quite a week.
The week had a difficult start with Elder Vermeeren's , Sister Mary unexpectedly passing away on Saturday, a month before her 75th Birthday. We will miss her, as will her Family. This is Mary with her little Granddaughter, Harper.
Radhika also smiled for a photo..
This family visited our Branch on their vacation this week.
The Weather has been a little challenging . Hurricane Bret was expected to pass through the Islands this week followed by Hurricane Cindy. Apparently it's the first time in History that 2 storms have formed in the east Caribbean in June in the same year. Although the Mission had us make preparations, they both missed the islands. Other than Strong winds and rain, it was not that big of a concern. We hope the remainder of the Season, until September 30, is as uneventful!
Elder Vermeeren purchased and installed new locks on some of the church doors, visits were ongoing, meetings, a devotional, and Branch and Mission errands made for a Busy Week.
We have been organizing and purchasing the menu items for Zone Conference which begins on Monday. The President and his Wife flew in on Thursday. They were hoping to accompany a Missionary Companionship to the Temple in the Dominican, but the weather changed those plans.
Having the President and his wife on the Island has been Wonderful. The Missionaries are enjoying every minute with them.
Quality Time and Planning have been Great!
Serving a Mission gives one an Opportunity to know the People and the Culture in a very Special way. We are Grateful to be Missionaries!
Enjoy Your Week!
