First off, Congratulations to Abbie Vermeeren on her Mission Call to the Chile Antofagasta Mission , Spanish Speaking! Our Seventh grandchild to serve a Mission!
We are so excited for you Abbie! You will be a Great Missionary!
And Happy 21st Anniversary to Jeff and LaDawn!
Time again to hear about the happenings here in St. Maarten...
It's been a rather unusual week.
The first few days were Lovely as we enjoyed a Sunset birthday dinner celebration.
A Delightful Branch Event.....
The Missionaries were the first ones to the Playdough table!
It was General Conference Weekend. We enjoyed inspirational Speakers for two Days and Five Awesome Sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
We were treated to a Pizza Lunch with ice cream Floats!
And Later in the evening a Beach hot dog and S'more cookout
Followed by a Branch Luncheon...
All the Schools and stores were closed. No vehicles except emergency vehicles were allowed on the roads....
Even the Airport was closed.
The Missionaries stayed together in one area. The Elders did go out in the Pouring rain for a friendly game of Football! They got totally drenched!
Unfortunately I had a rough few days but by Thursday was feeling better and walked the track with everyone.
All the Missionaries are working hard and we are seeing good things happening here. We are enjoying our time serving.
